Native Bees 101: Understanding and Helping your Local Pollinators
Tuesday, May 5, 2026 – 6:30pm (doors open at 6:15 pm)

Join Wild Birds Unlimited for a talk exploring the remarkable diversity of Alberta’s native bees and their vital role in healthy ecosystems and food systems. Learn what native bees are and what they look like, how they differ from honey bees, their life cycles and nesting habits, and how they survive Alberta’s climate. We’ll talk about conservation challenges, reasons for decline, and why bee diversity matters – and, most importantly, how you can support native bees in your community!
