DESCRIPTION:Make Music Edmonton is a free family-friendly live music event that showcases the diverse talent that our city has to offer. During Make Music Event\, the business fronts of 124 Street are transformed into sidewalk stages\, showcasing Edmonton’s incredible cultural and artistic diversity in untraditional musical spaces. \nMake Music Edmonton was inspired by “La Fête de la Musique”\, a national event launched in France in 1982 by French Minister of Culture\, Jack Lang\, to celebrate musical culture. The event has since gone global\, with “Make Music” taking place each year on June 21st (Summer Solstice)\, in over 700 cities worldwide. Make Music Edmonton was launched in 2014 by the Alliance Française of Edmonton.

DESCRIPTION:Homes for the Holidays is brought to you by Junior League of Edmonton. Each year the Homes for the Holidays Tour brings together local designers and decorators\, community volunteers\, and retailers to decorate five beautiful homes graciously loaned to us by local homeowners for this annual fundraiser. The decorated homes are opened to the public with the purchase of a ticket\, giving tour participants a dose of holiday inspiration\, and the opportunity to bring décor ideas to life in their own homes. \nNot only does the event spark the magic of the holiday spirit for our more than 1500 attendees\, it carries that spirit on throughout the year as all proceeds from the event support the Junior League of Edmonton as we direct our focus on girls’ self-esteem and mental health and services support in Edmonton.
