102 Avenue Bridge Closure

High Street on 124 Street is still open for business folks, but the bridge will be closing as of July 1, 2014.
The 102 Avenue Bridge over Groat Road will be closed July 1, 2014, with completion anticipated for August 2016. It should be noted that approximately 30 new metered parking stalls will be created on 102 Avenue west of 124 Street for the duration of this project. Parking Restrictions

124 Street parking restrictions will now be in place as of July 1, 2014

1) Westside of 124 Street, 102 Ave to Stony Plain Rd = No Stopping Tow Away Zone - 6:00-9:00 and 15:30-18:30 hrs, Monday-Friday
2) Eastside 124 Street, 102 Ave to 105 Ave = No Stopping Tow Away Zone - 6:00-9:00 and 15:30-18:30 hrs, Monday-Friday
3) Eastside 124 Street, Jasper Ave to 102 Ave = No Stopping Anytime.  This restriction is required to accommodate 2 lanes of traffic and still maintain local business access west of 124 Street on 102 Ave.

The City of Edmonton will be implementing these changes the week of June 23, 2014 with enforcement commencing July 2, 2014.
