We are pleased to announce that the 102 Avenue over Groat Road bridge opened on Friday, July 15, 2016.

There will be two traffic lanes maintained in each direction during peak hours (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) with pedestrian access on one side. Lane reductions will be required, during off-peak hours, over the coming months to complete the finishing work.

No parking changes will take effect at this time other than the removal of the temporary parking stalls on 102 Avenue. The temporary parking lot on the northeast corner of 125 Street and Stony Plain Road will remain in operation from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday until the bridge project is completed. Afternoon peak hour parking restrictions will remain in place until the bridge is fully operational (2 lanes each direction, 24 hours a day). When the bridge project is completed in the fall of this year, the afternoon peak ban will be removed and parking will revert back to 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No Stopping Tow Away Zones will be marked for 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Monday to Friday. Saturday parking hours will remain 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Temporary closures won’t impact traffic flow on Stony Plain Road during afternoon peak hours.
